Westborough’s proximity to Boston and Worcester is one reason it’s a great place to live, but there’s plenty to do here without leaving town. Why not keep it local? You’ll want to make sure you check out these Westborough restaurants.
Authentic South Indian Cuisine in Westborough
Dharani — 291 Turnpike Road, Westborough, MA
“Dharani” is a Sanskrit word that refers to something that holds true to its meaning and origin, so that tells you the approach they take at this Indian restaurant. The menu is south India-based (Hyderabad, to be exact).
Roughly half of the menu is vegetarian, and a full entree will run you around $15. If you’re indecisive, we recommend the Tandoori sampler ($16.99). There are also plenty of smaller items if you aren’t too hungry, or if you’re looking for an appetizer to share.
A Taste of Italy in Westborough
Arturo’s Ristorante — 54 E. Main St., Westborough, MA
Whether you’re looking to pick up a pizza to bring home or you’re seeking a robust, sit-down Italian meal, Arturo’s is the Westborough restaurant to visit. The brick-oven pizzas are affordable and creative — try the shrimp pesto pizza ($12).
On the pasta front, you’ll find butternut squash tortellini, pappardelle bolognese and lobster ravioli, among others. Hearty chicken, veal and salmon dishes round out the menu.
Arturo’s recommends making a reservation if you plan on coming by for dinner.
A Sizzling Westborough Hibachi Restaurant
Sachi — 200 Union St., Westborough, MA
Sachi is a hibachi grill and sushi restaurant that also offers delivery. If your entire party is in the mood for hibachi, the $40 “imperial feast” is what you want. It comes with sides and your choice of three meats or seafood options.
Otherwise, there is an enormous menu to choose from, from miso soup ($3) right on down to filet mignon ($20). On the seafood end, we recommend the mango shrimp or the teriyaki salmon (both $18).
A Westboro Restaurant In its 46th Year
Westboro House of Pizza — 36 E. Main St., Westborough, MA
No list of Westborough restaurants would be complete without a mention of Westboro House of Pizza, which has been operated by the same family since it opened in 1970. The restaurant serves pizza, wings and legit Italian fare in a sleek, nicely decorated restaurant with a full bar. It’s not a grimy pizza joint by any means.
If you aren’t feeling pizza, try the lasagna ($14 with meat, $13 with veggies) or one of the many, many subs on the menu.
